Continue ShoppingWe are thrilled to be selling with Lahaina Arts Society 2026. Our shop has a booth located outside the Cannery Mall in Lahaina from 10am to 3pm (please call for dates). Or call to schedule an in-person appointment. We will be teaching throughout the islands with the Hawaii Handweavers Hui, and during the 2026 Gathering hosted by the American Kumihimo Society. Our classes focus on confident beginners and emphasize the blending of Japanese tradition with island inspired Hawaiian necklace lei.
We reimagine traditional Hawaiian Lei to create "Aloha Inspired Forever Lei." Our designs merge an ancient Japanese braiding technique of kumihimo with the beauty of island colors and textures. We showcase our jewelry with the Lahaina Arts Society on Maui's West Side at the Cannery Mall .Check schedules on our website. All of our jewelry is handcrafted exclusively on Maui..
Kumihimo "Floral Blended - Ninth Island" Necklace Digital Pattern - Hawai'i Inspired (Marudai Only)
This is for a PDF Kumihimo pattern only and not for a physical necklace lei. The pattern is intended for confident beginners to intermediate braiders comfortable with Kongo Gumi braid structure and a Continuous Beaded Braid (CBB) structure Edo Yatsu using beads on a Marudai or foam disk (coming soon). This pattern will result in a 20’ to 23” long necklace – including a 10”- 12” Focal Section using various sizes of Seed Beads(it can be longer or shorter by adjusting the number of beads used in the beginning and end sections). NOTE: Users should be comfortable with a Bead Spinner for this Pattern as the Center portion is quickly created by adding beads to the cords using a Bead Spinner (there are videos on YouTube). And be comfortable adjusting counterweights as you braid and manipulating braids as you braid it.
