Transparent Picasso Brown & Green Beaded Hawaiian Haku Rose Petal Lei - 24"
This art piece contemporary lei uses four earth tone beads in the 11" focal section in the middle. It was designed using Large Transparent Brown Picasso Rose Petal beads, smaller Sage Golden Mini Rose Petals, Brown Rizo beads and Brown Picasso accent beads on both ends. The brass toned metallic hammered magnetic ends help to put this on/off but helps ensure it stays around your neck. This lei has a sleek feel and drapes beautifully when worn. You will absolutely love it - and even better it is a perfect gift.
This beautiful hand made style lei was made using hundreds of glass Japanese seed beads on multiple cords that are woven together on a wooden marudai stand.
The necklace is created using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo, a Japanese word for “gathered threads". This art form goes back hundreds of years as braids were made for use in armor for Japanese samurai warriors. In modern times these braids are designed as belts (obijime) that are worn as a belt with a kimono.
