Golden Pink Hawaiian Haku Mini (3 Cluster) Lei with Bronze Mushroom Beads - 21"
These unusual colors look amazing together. Here we blended a golden pink rose petal bead with black lined white seed beads and then balanced those with bronze mushroom beads (Gold Aurum from BonBeads) and California Purple fire polish. Yes all in one necklace for a rich and distinctive look in the 5" focal section. The rose petal beads all loosely arranged on this beautiful necklace lei at 21'. This design truly pops out as an art piece so expect to receive many compliments as it will truly start a conversation at any event you attend. This necklace lei is finished with bronze toned magnetic end cap to hold it steady around your neck.
The Haku Mini Lei are designed with a 3 or 5 part focal section yet are lighter than the original Haku Necklace Lei we launched in 2020. Each Lei blends rose petal beads (some use large lentil beads) with fire polish and unicorn beads (or mushroom beads) to achieve the stunning affect that it does. These necklace lei drape gently to compliment the neck and cleavage line. This new design pops and you (and the necklace lei) will be the focus of conversation at any event you attend.
This latest design captures the essence of Aloha - and makes a perfect gift for a friend or loved one! As a beautiful glass beaded necklace lei each necklace is handcrafted on Maui and involves meticulous attention to detail while braiding. The bead patterns we use look similar to flowers, but this lei will endure forever. These necklaces feel wonderful to wear and require little to almost no care by using a clean dry towel every few months to keep dust free and bright.
Akalei is Hawaiian for "bead reflections" which describes this unique necklace lei design style handcrafted only here on Maui. We reinterpret traditional Hawaiian Lei using a vast assortment of glass and natural beads, Japanese silk and synthetic fibers, and a wide variety of braiding techniques and inspirations from across the globe.
This beautiful handcrafted necklace lei was made using hundreds of glass Japanese seed beads on multiple cords that are woven together on a wooden marudai stand. The necklace lei is created using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo, a Japanese word for “gathered threads". This Haku mini was hand braided by Randy Spicocchi, and the pattern was developed by Rebecca Ann Combs of DesignandAdorn.com.
Kumihimo is an art form that goes back hundreds of years as braids were made for use in armor for Japanese samurai warriors. In modern times these braids are designed as belts (obijime) that are worn as a belt with a kimono.
