RESERVED FOR NORMA 3 Orchid Lei KITS
Based on our latest emails:
1) Sky Blue Orchid Lei with Sky Blue Seed Beads 40 grams(with light blue Tech 135 cords and pearl white magnet. (I did mine in silver if you want to alter the white magnet order) see photo of components (a rose petal kit includes 420 Rose Petals, and seed beads for a focal section of around 16, Fiber Tech 135 and magnet). $90 (if you want all 600 rose petals I'll need to add on an additional $30 (sorry).2) Gray Picasso Orchid Lei Kit - we can do in a few directions with your Seed Beads (and matching Tech 136) with Dark Gray Magnet I've enclosed photos of some gray seed beads let you manage this on your own. Not sure if other colors such as the Limestone White (in the General Blue photo) with any of these Gray' would be good with a blend like the Blue Metallic example . $903) Montana Sky Orchid Lei Kit I used a darker blue Tech 135 cord and mixed the "matching" blue beads with some Limestone White Seed Beads. So let me know your ideas on the Seed Beads for this project too. See photo with a slightly different blue color rose petal (I think). Then a silver magnet for Montana Sky. In the Dark Blue Photo I added in a Matte Matsuno (the top seed bead) - I'm on the last bag although so have reordered. It is my favorite color on this combo, but for an added pop the dark blue is a Silver Lined (S/L) might be best. $904) Extra pearl white clasp 6mm $85) Do you want me to coat/treat the ends with Fray Check or let you manage that yourself ? I know they can get rigid with traveling I can also add a bottle if you prefer to do on your own (I use a yogurt lid and tooth pick to coat evently and let dry for 30 minutes.6) Shipping $8.Total if this is right: $286.00 or $30 more for the additional 180 Sky Blue Rose Petals. ($314)7) Added in the second blue seed beads ($12 for 40grams Matsuno).Total for Kits and Shipping: $326.
The Orchid Lei were modeled after the beautiful Hawaiian island flower lei, the necklace and kumihimo pattern are available exclusively at Akalei Designs. These are typically made from flowers leaves, feathers, or natural fibers resulting in vivid color combinations.
Akalei is Hawaiian for "bead reflections" which describes this unique necklace lei design style available only here on Maui. We specialize in designing a wide range of modern yet familiar Hawaiian Lei for woman and men.
The necklace is created using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo, a Japanese word for “gathered threads". This art form goes back hundreds of years as braids were made for use in armor for Japanese samurai warriors. In modern times these braids are designed as belts (obijime) that are worn as a belt with a kimono.
It is my goal to provide you with a long lasting, beautiful piece of jewelry that you will enjoy wearing for years to come. I take great care in the construction of my pieces to ensure just that. Please note: colors may slightly differ from their appearance on your display, as it depends on your monitor settings.
Please send me a message with questions or comments.
Thanks for stopping by!
Aloha Aku.
