Modeled after the beautiful Hawaiian island flower lei, the pattern was created by Akalei Designs. This unique glass beaded braid was inspired by the beautiful floral Haku (also known as Po’o) Lei traditionally worn around the head. These are typically made from flowers leaves, feathers, or natural fibers resulting in vivid color combinations.

The necklace is created using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo.
