This public recognition reflects how our unique and high quality necklace lei are gaining attention. All our designs are handcrafted on Maui. We are unique in that we are able to incorporate aspects of floral lei into modern forever lei using glass beads with designs normally only seen in the shell lei made famous on the island of Ni’iHua (The Forbidden Island).
Reminiscent of the beauty found on the Forbidden Island (Ni’iHau) these natural colors blend nicely in this necklace design using black and brown segments. The necklace pictured here measures 18 1/4”. Hundreds of Japanese seed beads were woven on a marudai stand and finished with a black matte strong acrylic magnetic end.
This Black/Brown Necklace can be made into various lengths (from 10” up to 25”) prices will vary with length or materials used.
Akalei is Hawaiian for "bead reflections" which are only produced here on Maui. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for custom orders or inquiries.
Additionally these necklaces are great combined with other styles of Akalei necklaces on our website.
